A couple of years ago my boyfriend and I did a fly&drive in Andalusia.
Despite the high temperature, we went in August. I suggest, if you can, to choose another month because it’s really hot there!
As more than a friend asked me about my trip, hotels, places to see, etc, I decided to post my information here so that everybody looking for some info about Andalusia can read them!
I must say that all the historical city centres are amazing, I just write the other places that can’t be missed!

Granada: live music and dancing in the street
GRANADA (2 nights)
Hotel Granada Centro http://www.hotelgranadacentro.com/
Alhambra http://www.alhambra.org/ Suggestion: buy tickets on-line before leaving home! The queue is NEVERENDING! BELIEVE ME!

Cordoba: Los Patios hotel
CORDOBA (1 night)
Hotel Los Patios http://www.lospatios.net/ it’s also a very good restaurant, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Suggestion: Ask for SALMOREJO and BERENJENAS!!!
La Mezquita http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Mosque_of_Córdoba if you enter early it’s free.
Puente Romano http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puente_romano_de_Córdoba

Carmona
CARMONA
very nice town where we stopped for lunch during the driving from Cordoba to Sevilla.

Nerja: the Balcony of Europe
Suggestions:
Car hiring
Don’t hire a car from the beginning of your stay. We landed in Granada and stayed there for 2 nights. We hired a car only after the stay there to go to the next city. You don’t need to hire a car to visit Granada!
Car parking
Always ask to the hotel receptions where to park, they could have discounts or tips for cheap parking.
Driving: driving there is really beautiful, no fees (except for the Malaga area) and amazing views! Whatch out for the bullies shapes!
Tip: buy a white hat, the sun is really hot! Have a sista! Try to avoit going out between 2 and 4 p.m.: it is more dangerous than the night and it’s really warm.
If you have question please don’t hesitate to ask! Leave a comment and I’ll be really happy to reply!
